The NCC is performance based. A project may use a Deemed-to-Satisfy Solution, a Performance Solution, or a combination of both. The appropriate pathway and evidence depend on the building classification, rise in storeys, location, use, interfaces and proposed installation.

Local permit, authority review and final acceptance

Certificates, test reports, calculations and technical statements must be relevant to the exact proposed use and reviewed in their complete form. A certificate for one component, configuration or location does not establish compliance for an entire building in every Australian jurisdiction.

NCC Evidence Comes Before a Compliance Claim

The proposed path is recorded as DTS, Performance Solution, Combined or To be determined. Evidence must identify its issuer, method, scope, limitations, date, local reviewer and project status.

Mass manufacture must not be presented as approval-independent. Required evidence acceptance and project approvals must be confirmed by the appointed Australian team before irreversible production commitments.

Frequently asked questions

Is the building system NCC certified or NCC approved?

The NCC does not provide a generic approval for an entire ExportPrefab building system. Project evidence must be reviewed for the proposed use by the appointed Australian professionals and relevant approval authority.

Who decides whether the evidence is acceptable?

Acceptance is determined within the project approval process by the appointed building surveyor or certifier, relevant consultants and approval authority as applicable. ExportPrefab cannot approve its own evidence for Australian statutory purposes.

Does one approval apply across every state and territory?

No blanket national project approval is claimed. The applicable NCC edition, state or territory legislation, planning process, licensing, inspections and local conditions must be confirmed for the project.

Who acts as the Australian builder and certifier?

These parties must be identified for each project. ExportPrefab does not represent itself as the Australian licensed builder or certifier unless a separately verified legal arrangement expressly establishes a role.

What evidence can ExportPrefab provide before contract?

The Technical Evidence index identifies verified public items, controlled records, project-specific deliverables and local-party requirements. Availability depends on the exact system, configuration and confidentiality status.

Are bathroom pods automatically accepted if manufactured overseas?

No. Plumbing products, overseas factory work, WaterMark requirements, local licensed installation and state or territory acceptance must be reviewed for the proposed pod and project.

When is it safe to start mass manufacture?

Required evidence, design responsibilities, project approvals, interfaces, samples and release documents should be accepted by the appointed project team before irreversible mass-production commitments.

What is excluded from a factory quotation?

Exclusions must be stated in the quotation. Typical local items can include planning, certification, engineering, foundations, customs, inland transport, cranes, licensed trades, installation, commissioning, insurance and authority fees unless expressly included.

How are concealed factory works inspected?

The project ITP should define hold or witness points, traceable records, photographs, inspections and release criteria before components are enclosed. The reviewer and acceptance process must be agreed before production.

Can ExportPrefab provide a fixed installed price?

A fixed installed price cannot be inferred from a factory price. It requires confirmed project design, evidence, shipping, site conditions, local quotations, risk allocation and a clearly defined contracting scope.
